Kakigori - Petaling Jaya

Happiness is enjoying a bowl of cold shaved ice. So here we are at Kakigori, located at Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya. Kakigori means shaved ice in Japanese. This shop serves few types of Kakigori such as Tiramisu, Uji matcha, Uji macha brulee, Japanese pumpkin, watermelon, strawberry, chestnut milk, avocado, guava and hojicha. Tiramisu has always been my favourite dessert and without thinking twice we ordered it. Apart from that, we ordered a slice of brulee choc D24 roll as well.

First mouthful of Kakigori Tiramisu tasted heavenly. However it doesn't taste as good as the first mouthful as we continue eating it. Ended up we couldn't finish the whole bowl. On the other hand, Brulee choco D24 roll was good. Durian flavour was very intense and the cake was moist and soft.

Shop ambience was pleasant, relaxing and cold. Yes! It was so cold that we started shivering after eating half the shaved ice. Kakigori practice self service ordering, collection and returning. Place your order at the counter and collect your shaved ice from a customized wooden shelves behind the counter. It was quite misleading to many customer where to collect their order because the customized wooden shelves was decorated with bowls of shaved ice. Moreover, the sign board for collection and return were too small to be noticed.
