Taiwan - Day 7 (Ximending - Taipei 101)

Ay-Chung flour rice noodles is one of the most famous street food in Ximending. There's no proper tables and chairs. So basically, you need to stand and eat. There's always a queue but it's fast moving. The "mee suah" or rice noodles is served in a paper bowl together with a plastic spoon. Slurpy smooth noodles served with intestines in a sweet and flavourful broth. It's nice to have a bowl of hot slurpy noodles on a cold day. We slept through the morning, skipped our breakfast at  Diary of Ximen  and had this rice noodles for lunch. Our stay at  Hongqiao Lodge  did not include breakfast. Hence, we had breakfast nearby Jiji Township after we checked out from the lodge. We ordered beef and egg burger, Taiwanese  pancakes, f ried radish cake with egg, mini sausages and fried chicken. My favourite were the fried chicken and T aiwanese ham, egg & corn pancake. Fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Whereas for the Taiwanese pancake, it was a perfect combination of ham, egg and corn pancake.
