Hard Rock Hotel - Penang

We were torn between Redang Island and Penang Island getaway... If we were to go for Redang Island getaway, we need to take a cab to the airport, fly to Kuala Terengganu, take a cab from the airport to the ferry terminal and travel by ferry to Redang Island.

If we were to go for Penang Island getaway, it will be a road trip and on the way to Penang we can stop by for some yummy food. :) We finally decided to go Penang Island! We wanted a relaxing seaside getaway and we decided to go for a 4 days 3 night stay, do nothing but laze around all day long at Hard Rock Hotel, Penang. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff and treated to a welcome drink. The drink tasted fantastic on a hot day! Best part was the staff upgraded our room from a hill view deluxe room to a sea view deluxe room!

The room comes with a king size bed, 4 pillows, LCD TV, DVD/CD player, free wired and wireless internet access (slow internet connection), complimentary streaming music channels, in-room safe, mini-bar, mini fridge, coffee & tea making facilities, 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water, bathrobe and bedroom slippers, rain and hand showers, iron & ironing board, daily complimentary newspaper, study table and individual balcony overlooking the sea and the largest free-form swimming pool in Penang.

The bathroom features an opened or closed bathroom wall. Water pressure was good and I just love taking long hot showers. However, the shower area was a bit too small. Limited Astro channel available but you get to watch free in room HD blockbuster movies on demand. You will never get bored because you get to watch all the blockbuster movies for free. Besides that, just slide open the sliding doors and you get to hear the relaxing sound of waves and sunset view. There is also live music in the lobby every night. It was indeed a very relaxing trip that you might not feel like going back home...
