Nosh - Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

Nosh is located along the busy street of Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar. Looking for a parking lot in Telawi Street was a nightmare! We tried to search for a parking lot along the road but to no avail. Ended up we parked our car at the Bangsar Village shopping mall, just less than 5 minutes walk to Nosh. We were famished by the time we reached the restaurant, thanks to the traffic jam and limited parking lots. The restaurant was quite empty when we walked in.

There were four signature quenchers on the menu and I decided to try the Summer Oasis which consists of raspberry puree, lychee syrup, pineapple juice and soda. The combination turned out to be so-so for me. Not too sweet but I still prefer the mango juice from the box.

Four signature quenchers:

a) Honey suckle - Passionfruit puree, honey, orange juice and ginger ale

b) Summer Oasis - Raspberry puree, lychee syrup, pineapple juice and soda

c) Organic Nectarine - Peach puree, mango syrup and oolong tea

d) Lemonade - Lemon juice, sugar syrup and soda

Next, I ordered the grilled salmon fillet in a lemon capers sauce served with roasted peppers and rosemary potatoes while my partner ordered the juicy rack of lamb cooked with sauteed spinach and olives, served with a breaded portobello mushroom. The portobello mushroom was humongus! It was juicy and tasty, best eaten when it's hot. I don't really fancy the lamb as there's a slight gamey taste on it. The grill salmon was ok. It could be better if there's more gravy on it as I find it a bit dry at the end of my meal.

Lastly we ordered the dessert - Valrhona Heaven, consists of molten chocolate cake, tart and chocolate ice cream. It was a bit too sweet for me especially the tart and the molten chocolate cake. However, I love the combination of the sour strawberries dipped into the sweet chocolate tart. Both of us hardly finished the dessert and yes I do feel that the dessert is a bit overpriced. Overall the food presentation was very nice, the staff were friendly and the restaurant ambience was clean and cosy.
