1 Day Wave Rock Tour - Perth, Western Australia

Image
We took a 1 Day Wave Rock, York, Wildflowers, and Aboriginal Culture from Pinnacle Tour ($215) The tour wasn't a very pleasant one because our entire journey got delayed as we waited for almost an hour for a couple to turn up! Our coach suppose to leave the city at 8am but we waited for the couple until 8.30am. So, exactly 8.30am the tour guide decided to start our journey without them. After we have departed half an hour from the city, the tour guide got a call from his manager asking him to pull over as he is driving the couple to meet us. So we came to a halt beside the highway and waited for the couple for another half an hour. Once the couple stepped into the bus, reason given to us was their taxi driver didn't turn up at their hotel this morning! Eventhough all of us wasn't very pleased with the waiting game, we decided to put it aside as not to spoil our journey. Our first stop of the day is York which is the oldest inla...

1 Day Pinnacles Tour - Perth, Western Australia

Image
We took a 1 Day Pinnacles Tour ($145) with the Aussie Wanderer and it was indeed a fun trip. We waited for the Aussie Wanderer to pick us up at the Wellington Station around 7am. There were 13 of us in this 1 Day Pinnacle Tour. Our first destination of the day is the Maze Wildlife Park. We get to pat the Koala (we were told that Koala has very sharp claws and we were asked to pat only its back), meet the emu, cockatoos birds, kangaroos and walk through the Maze. It took us around 20 minutes to walked through the Maze. :) Glad that we were not the last team! Right before we went into the Maze, we enjoyed our morning tea with a yummy biscuit. Koala The Maze The Maze The Maze Next stop is the Indian Ocean Rock Lobster Factory in the coastal town of Cervantes. We took a multi lingual tour and we get to see how the lobsters were inspected, graded, purged, packed and finally exported live. After the fa...

Penguin Island - Perth, Western Australia

Image
Penguin Island is an island near Perth, Western Australia. You can only access to Penguin Island by ferry and the tickets can be purchased at the Rockingham Wild Encounters booking office. The ferry departs hourly from 9am during September to May and the last ferry leaves the island at 4pm. The Penguin Island is close during winter season. There is this sandbar that connects the island to the mainland but you are not allow to cross over the island using the sandbar as it is very dangerous. Warning sign has been displayed because lives have been lost due to strong currents and changing water depth. However, during our trip we still see some stubborn tourists used the sandbar eventhough it is closed. We took the tour package - Shoalwater Safari ($85). The package includes 90 minutes cruise to see dolphins and sea lions, unlimited ferry transfers to Penguin Island for the day and entrance fees of the Penguin Discovery Centre. If you are lucky you will get to see the...

6 2 10 Grill & Nasi Lemak - Petaling Jaya

Image
This is one of my favourite nasi lemak! The rendang pork is so "porkylicious" (Porky + Delicious = Porkylicious? By the way, there is no such word as "porkylicious" in the dictionary) What I was trying to say is the rendang pork is delicious. :) You can either order the basic nasi lemak set which consist of the fragrant coconut rice, peanuts, half hard boiled egg, anchovies, cucumber and sambal or you can add the side dish. They have few side dishes such as rendang pork (which is my favourite), rendang beef, curry chicken, cuttle fish and minced pork sambal. I like their sambal onion although it is a little bit spicy for me. During weekdays the restaurant is not that crowded. Menu Restaurant ambience Pork Nasi Lemak Rendang pork Sambal with onion Address: 6 2 10 Grill & Nasi Lemak No. C21, Jalan PJU 1/45, Aman Suria, 47301 Petaling Jaya For reservation: 012-6019976

One day "makan" trip - Malacca

Image
Malacca (or Melaka in malay) is known as a historical state in Malaysia. The Christ Church of Melaka is a popular tourist area. You will see alot of trishaw parked along the church patiently waiting for their potential customers. They are nicely decorated with colourful flowers and each trishaw will have their own loud speaker playing variety of songs. Besides Christ Church of Melaka, Fort A Famosa is also another popular tourist area. Trishaw - patiently waiting for their potential customers Christ Church Melaka Fort A Famosa Our first stop of the day is the chicken rice. We decided to have chicken rice outside the Malacca town to avoid the long queue. Glad that we made the right decision because the queue was crazy for the chicken rice ball when we were in Malacca town later that afternoon. I was so hungry when we arrived at this W Chicken Rice shop and totally forgot to snap photos of the food. :p Anyway I decided to ...
