Spice Brasserie (The Light Hotel, Seberang Jaya) - Penang

Our stay in The Light Hotel, Seberang Jaya comes with buffet breakfast for 2 person. As usual, sleepyhead decided to skipped breakfast while me on the other hand who's an early riser went and enjoy the buffet breakfast myself. Restaurant is clean and well organised. There's Malay, American and Chinese breakfast available. They served nasi lemak, fried rice, fried vermicelli, soup noodles, porridge, waffles, sausages, eggs, hash browns, salad, fruits, cereals, pastries, chilled juice and coffee.

I love American breakfast and the only food that I enjoyed most was the fried egg, baked bean and hash brown. Hash brown is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Fried vermicelli on the other hand was a bit spicy for my liking. Same goes to the sambal for the nasi lemak. They only serves 3 types of fruits - papaya, honey dew and watermelons. Since it's a 5 star hotel, I was expecting more variety of fruits. Apart from that, there's no freshly squeezed juice but only chilled juice. Overall the buffet breakfast was okay but nothing amazing.
