Kelapa Bakar 1 Malaysia - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

If you passed along Jalan Sulaman, you will notice there's many stalls selling grilled coconut, coconut pudding and clams or also known as "lokan" by the local people. We decided to give it a try and picked one shop that has the most crowds. So we ended up at Kelapa Bakar 1 Malaysia. We ordered coconut pudding, grilled coconut and "lokan". Coconut pudding was served inside a coconut and it's soft like jelly. The sweetness level was just right and you can actually taste the fragrant coconut flavour. However, the texture was a bit too mushy for my liking. Grilled coconut on the other hand was served hot. This was our first time trying hot coconut drinks as most of the time we only had cold coconut drinks. The taste was a bit weird for us. It's like drinking hot coconut soup. Urban Kitchen (Hilton Kota Kinabalu) - Sabah

It was Christmas day and for once we decided to go for buffet dinner. Urban Kitchen located on the ground floor of Hilton Hotel, Kota Kinabalu was having this buffet dinner promotion for 2 person at the price of RM 118. We made reservation for 2 person one day earlier and to our disappointment when we reached there, they were unable to find our names in their reservation list. Luckily they still have seats available but we were not seated in the main dining area. Instead we were put in a small room beside the restaurant. Buffet dinner starts at 6.30pm till 10.30pm. Urban Kitchen serves Indian, Chinese, Malay and modern western dishes. Since it's Christmas, they serves Turkey meat as well. There's two section serving similar food and basically the choices were quite limited. Apart from that, they only serves hot drinks and plain water.
