Restaurant Ahwa (Hokkien Mee) - Petaling Jaya

Image
If you are a hokkien mee lover, check out this Restoran Ahwa located along Jalan 222, behind the Shell station. Delicious hokkien mee comes with pork larks, cabbage, prawns and slices of pork. The hokkien mee is just perfect to my liking -  not too dry and not too wet. Best eaten with sambal belacan. Besides hokkien mee there's other hawker stalls selling grilled fish, fried lala, cuttlefish with kangkong, pancakes and fried chicken wings. We ordered a plate of grilled fish and a pair of fried chicken wings. It was good! The grilled fish was fresh and juicy while the fried chicken wing was very crispy and juicy. Carousel International Coffeehouse (Palace of the Golden Horses) - Kuala Lumpur

Image
Located on the lower ground level at Palace of the Golden Horses, this coffeehouse was quite empty when we got there. If you happens to read my previous blog, we received a complimentary dinner buffet for 2 at Carousel International Coffeehouse after attending a 60 minutes health management preview at Golden Horses Health Sanctuary. The dinner buffet consists of desserts, salad bar,  choice of bread, fish, chicken, beef, lamb, soup, crabs, oysters, sushi and fruits. I just love buffet because you get to eat as much as you can and best part is I get to try variety of desserts. However I lost my appetite after seeing flies flying around the salad bar and fruits section. Luckily other section was well covered. Overall the food was so-so. Souled Out - Kuala Lumpur

Image
I just love Souled Out because they serve good food and a great place to hang out with friends. The place can be very crowded during dinner time especially when there's a live football match! Best part is, you get to watch your favourite team playing on a large screen while enjoying the food. We reached Souled Out around 6pm on a Saturday evening and all the tables has been either occupied or reserved. We put our name under the waiting list and waited patiently to be seated. Half and hour later, the staff told us that they have a small table and without any hesitation, 6 of us decided to squeeze in that table. We ordered 4 main dishes: a) Char-grilled chicken - grilled chicken with black pepper sauce served with mushrooms, home made garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables b) Carbonara - Fettuccine (a type of paste - fat thick noodles made of egg and flour) comes with beef bacon, fresh mushrooms and garlic cream sauce c) Pad Thai - Rice noodles tossed with prawn
