It was a Tuesday morning and we decided to visit Rottnest Island. We preferred the free and easy tour whereby we just need to purchase the ticket, hop onto the rottnest express and make our way around the island by foot. Rottnest Express has this Telethon Tuesday with the return fare of only $36 (ex-Fremantle). You can only enjoy this Telethon Tuesday through online booking. Since it was still early, we strolled around Victoria Quay. Walked around the Maritime Museum Shipwreck Galleries, Kidogo Arthouse, snap some photos of the seaside view and had our brunch in Sweetlips before boarding the Rottnest Express at 11.30am.

We ordered a regular fish & chips and salt & pepper squid. The fish and chips tasted ok, just like any other fish and chips that we had. However the salt & pepper squid was very tasty. The squid was very flavorful, non rubbery and it was tender. Dip it in sweet chili sauce. Simply delicious.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay.
