Melbourne - Sydney - Day 8/ Day 6

Image
It's Lee's turn to worked from home today and he made us home cooked noodles for breakfast. It feels so good to have a bowl of hot noodles soup on a cold day. We left Chyme's house around 10.30am and took a Uber to the airport. Thank you both for your warm hospitality during our visit. :) On the way to the airport, my partner received an email saying our flight from Melbourne to Sydney at 1pm has been cancelled. Jetstar gave us two options. We're entitled to a full refund or rescheduled it to another flight without fee. We have no other option but to rescheduled it to 6.45pm flight. They gave us each $ 20 refreshment voucher as compensation. Since we've already arrived at the airport, basically we just hang around there for 7 hours. If only they have informed us earlier, we wouldn't have went to the airport so early! We had McDonalds for lunch, checked in our luggage at 4.45pm and had our early dinner at Terminal 4. I had Mexican food while my partner had C

We decided to stay at home and rest well before we fly back to Sydney the next day. Chyme worked from home today and in order not to disturbed her, we had our lunch at Eastland just 10 minutes walking distance (950m) from her house. We had Mexican food at Pacos Tacos. I ordered their set lunch comes with 2 tacos, salad and drink. My my partner on the other hand ordered quesadilla (toasted wheat tortilla filled with your choice of chicken, beef, pork, black beans or mushrooms with cheese, pico de gallo, picked onion, jalapenos and chipotle ali oli). I choose Carne (beef tacos) and pollo (chicken tacos). I preferred their chicken tacos because the chicken is tender and juicy. All tacos are done in a 6" soft shell corn tortilla and garnished with coriander and spring onions. You may choose any two of the below tacos for your set lunch: a) Carne - slow cooked beef brisket, chipotle salsa, pico de gallo and cactus b) Pollo - BBQ chicken with lettuce, pickled onion and tomatillo ch

Chyme is on leave today and after she fetched Ryan to school, she made me fried fish salmon patty for my breakfast. Muaks... Love you to the moon and back. My partner on the other hand, feeling really sick and couldn't sleep the whole night due to the bad cough. So he has no choice but to see a doctor. Chyme helped him to scheduled an online appointment first before we went to the clinic which is located in the Ringwood Square shopping centre. Consultation fees cost $ 76 excluding medication. He has to go to the pharmacy to get his prescribed medicine. We went to Costco after that to buy some groceries. There's this famous $ 1.99 hot dog and soda combo at the Costco food court. There's complimentary ketchup, mustard, relish and onions. It's good and there's even free soda refills. Basically that's what we had for our lunch that day. At night, Chyme cooked us dinner. We had steamed fish with salted vegetables, sour plums, white tofu, tomato, ginger and garli

Chyme purposely baked us a banana cake the night before so that we can have it for breakfast the next day. I'm so touched and almost cried. Hahaha... okay okay... I'm just exaggerating. Even though it's not the best banana cake that I had, it's the thought that counts. :) She planned to bring us to Brighton beach and St Kilda beach since it's a Sunday. So we left home around 10am and by the time we reached Brighton beach it's almost 11am. Brighton beach is well know for its colourful beach boxes. Weather wasn't really promising that day and it rained while we're at Brighton beach.
