Most of the time we will have early dinner to avoid traffic jams and crowds. Besides, it's easier to look for a parking spot during off peak hours. This time we decided to check out Party Play. If you are looking for a budget hotel in George Town Penang, you may consider HelicoNia hotel. Located next to Hotel Sentral George Town Penang, HelicoNia Hotel is within walking distance to Lorong Selamat (famous char kueh teow) and Penang Road famous Teochew Chendul. I have tried both the char kueh teow and Teochew Chendul and I think it's overrated. One plate of Lorong Selamat char kueh teow cost more than RM 10 while a bowl of Teochew Chendul cost RM 2.50. The last time I had Lorong Selamat char kueh teow was one year ago and it was very salty. This time I can taste the burned wok flavour. I believe you can get a better char kueh teow elsewhere in Penang at a cheaper price. It was an impromptu business trip to Penang.
