Perth - Day 17 (Roll'd - San Churro - Giants of Mandurah - Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre - Pinn's Palace)

We are back to Roll'd Mandurah Forum for lunch again. This time we brought the kids along. We had pork & prawn rice paper rolls (filled with noodles, prawns, lemongrass, pork, cucumber & fresh herbs), vegetable & seafood spring rolls, broken rice grilled pork chop with egg, home-styled pork spring rolls, sweet potato chips, roast duck bao and crispy prawn bao. I just love their seafood spring rolls, crispy prawn bao and iced peach tea. Thanks to Carmen and Joejo for treating us to a fabulous lunch again.

After lunch, we brought the kids to San Churro located at Mandurah Terrace. We ordered churros for two with extra 3 churros, mango smoothies and choc strawberry sundae. The kids choose milk and dark chocolate dipping. Seems that the churro was undercooked because it looked pale yellow and not crunchy. The churros that we had previously has a nice light brown colour and perfectly crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside.

Instead of chocolate strawberry sundae (comes with milk chocolate gelato, chocolate fudge, fresh strawberries, milk chocolate, churros, whipped cream and choc curls) the waitress served us chocolate banana caramel sundae (comes with milk chocolate gelato, salted caramel, banana, milk chocolate, churros, whipped cream and malt balls) instead. The kids were so fast and gobbled up almost half of the sundae before I get to stop them from eating since they serve us the wrong order. When I told the waitress, they acknowledged their mistake and replaced a new chocolate strawberry sundae for us. The kids were delighted because now they get to eat two sundae instead of one.

We dropped the kids at home before we went to Subiaco Theatre Gardens to look for Bille Bob since they're not keen to find the hidden Giant. It's an easy trail and takes around 2 minutes walking from the starting point which is at the car park (200m round trip). Basically this is where the Giant story starts. There's one in Perth (Bille Bob), four in Mandurah (Vivi Cirkelstone, Seba's Song, Santi Ikto & Little Lui) and the hidden one (Jyttes Hytte). Finally we found all six Giants of Mandurah!

Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre is the largest shopping centre in Perth. It's approximately 20 minutes drive (18km) from Subiaco Theatre Gardens. By the time we reached there, we only have 25 minutes to shop since they open until 5pm. We did a very quick shopping and wish we have more time to shop...

Pinn's Palace is just 3 minutes drive (1.7km) from Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre. On the way back home, we went there to take away steamed chicken, sweet and sour fish fillet and tofu for dinner. Overall steamed chicken and tofu is good.
