Tip of Borneo - Kudat, Sabah

Tip of Borneo, also known as Tanjung Simpang Mengayau is located in the district of Kudat, Sabah - 3 hours and 50 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. The tip is the meeting point of the South China Sea and Sulu Sea. It's the 3rd largest island in the world and a great place to take a sunset picture.

You are not supposed to go down the cliff but despite a warning sign displayed right in front of the cliff, some curious visitors still climb down the cliff. If you really insist to go down, be careful of the steep slope and beware of the strong winds and violent waves.

On the way up to Tip of Borneo, you'll find Kalampunian beach. Beautiful white sandy beach. The beach is gaining popularity among surfers for its rolling waves and rough waters. There is no lifeguard in this beach, so swim at your own risk.
