Sabah Tea Resort (Cottages) - Ranau, Sabah

Sabah Tea Resort is located in Ranau, 50 minutes drive from Kundasang town. Road going in and out from Sabah Tea Resort from the main road is a gravel road without any street light. There's three types of accommodation for you to choose from:

a) Sabah Tea Longhouses
b) Sabah Tea Cottages (All the cottages are named after colouful personalities in Sabah's colonial past)
c) Camp grounds

We stayed in one of the cottages which comes with a queen and single size bed, LCD TV with limited Astro channel, small living room, dressing table, cupboard, ceiling fan, self controlled air-conditioning, coffee or tea making facilities, 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water, 3 mini soaps, 3 packets of shampoo and hot/cold shower. Clean and basic room that can accommodate 3 person. There's a sliding door that separate the shower area from the toilet. Good water pressure but the temperature isn't hot enough unless you reduce the water pressure.

The reception is located near the cottages in an open-air environment just opposite the cafe. The whole resort was very quiet and peaceful. You could just hear chirping bugs or insects. So make sure you keep the windows closed to prevent them from entering your room. By the way, wifi only available at the cafe area and there's no free wifi inside the room.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Guangzhou/Shenzhen - Day 4/Day 1 (Luohu Commercial City - Dongmen Pedestrian Street - Sun Plaza)

We had planned to check out of the hotel at 12pm and board a train to Dongguan at 1pm to meet with one of Ben's potential supplier. However, the plan was cancelled as the supplier was unable to make it and Ben only notified us after we checked out of the hotel at 12pm. In the end, we did nothing for a half day in Guangzhou and missed the opportunity to see his supplier in Dongguan. Our initial plan was to meet with his supplier in Dongguan and then take the train to Shenzhen. Since the plan didn't work out, we purchased a last-minute ticket from  Guangzhou East Railway Station to Shenzhen Station (Price - RM 65.74 per person for first-class seat).
