Vasco's Hilton Kuala Lumpur

My partner has been selected to enjoy a delicious dining experience for two at Vasco's Hilton Kuala Lumpur from HSBC Dining at Hilton KL Promotion. The voucher is valid for lunch or dinner, 7 days a week but there's few blackout dates apply. Apart from that, this voucher is not applicable for walk-in and advance reservation is required. We have made a reservation for dinner on a weekday since it was fully booked on weekends. We reached there around 5.30pm and found out that our reservation was not updated in their listing! Luckily we were early and there's still places available before the dinner buffet starts at 6.30pm.

Overall taste was just so-so for me. My spaghetti carbonara which they cooked on the spot was so salty. My favourite dish of the night were the steamed fish, grilled lamb and cold buffet prawns. I love the wasabi mayonnaise sauce. It's a superb dipping sauce for the cold prawn. Most of the food were not labelled and we have no idea that they served steamed fish until we saw one of the customer requested it from the Chinese cuisine section! Apart from that, there's not much selection of drinks. Only coffee, tea and plain water.

There's variety of dessert but sadly none of them were my favourite. Some of the desserts were too sweet for my liking. I only enjoyed their yogurt. The yogurt machine has 3 nozzles. First nozzle labelled as vanilla, no label on the 2nd nozzle and 3rd nozzle labelled as mango yogurt. I tried the yogurt from the 2nd nozzle and I tasted mint which I don't really fancy. My favourite was the vanilla yogurt topped with raspberry syrup and sprinkled with almond flakes.

There's shaved ice or "ice kacang" and Teppanyaki ice cream at the far end corner. There's no label on the Teppanyaki ice cream and poor staff has to keep on repeating what she's serving. 4 types of ice cream flavours available - vanilla, chocolate, green tea and hazelnut.
