Tian Lee Seafood Restaurant - Port Klang

This restaurant is well-known for its balitong and mee mamak. Balitong is a type of sea snail but very few people dare to eat it including me. In order to get the meat out of the shell, you gotta suck the end of the shell that has been chopped off. I have a phobia that I might suck something else out of the shell instead of the sea snail! Since most of us dare not eat, we didn't order this dish.

We reached the restaurant before 6pm and it was almost full. Simple restaurant covered with zinc roof, cement flooring and simple plastic tables and chairs. It feels like we're inside the oven because it's so hot and stuffy. We ended up sitting outside the restaurant. Parking is very limited and some parked along the road.

We ordered their famous mee mamak and it was good. It's spicy, slightly sweet and wet. Fried tofu stuffed with meat was good too. Served with Thai sweet chili sauce, shredded cucumber and topped with crushed peanut. Other dishes that we ordered such as Thai fried rice, "kam heong" crab, fried meat roll, steamed clam and grilled fish were just so-so for me.

We waited almost an hour for our food. I don't mind waiting as long as the food taste good. Anyway, we will be back again for the yummy mee mamak and stuffed tofu.
