Kedai Kopi Shang Hai Tian - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

We have discovered a new place for dinner. Yes... we are talking about our new found place, Kedai Kopi Shang Hai Tian located in Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Situated in a residential area, this shop serves good Chinese dishes at a reasonable price.

We ordered fried Tilapia fish with Thai sauce. This dish comes with onions, cucumber, red chili pepper, chilli padi and Thai sauce. It looks like a spicy dish but it's really not. It tastes just like the sweet and sour dish. I love the crispy fried fish and combination with the sauce is good.

Besides fish, we tried their four season of vegetables and water spinach also known as "kangkung" stir fried with "belacan" sauce. In Chinese, four season of vegetables it is called "Sei Tai Tin Wong" consist of four types of vegetables (egg plants, lady fingers, long beans and winged beans). Both dishes were good but a bit salty.

There's only one cook in the kitchen and one helper. Prepare to wait for at least 20 minutes or more for the food to arrive.
