Restoran Tiong Hokkien Mee - Petaling Jaya

Restoran Tiong Hokkien Mee is located in Damansara Uptown, same row as the Village Park Restaurant. Both Restoran Dim Sum Kitchen and Restoran Tiong Hokkien Mee shared the same shoplot. Restoran Tiong Hokkien Mee only operates during dinner time.

Penang people used to call the prawn mee as hokkien mee. I remember back in those days when we went to Penang for the first time, my friend ordered hokkien mee which he thought was the fried mee with dark soy sauce. Ended up the prawn mee came. This is how we get to know about hokkien mee = prawn mee in Penang. :)

Back to this Restoran Tiong Hokkien Mee, we ordered one plate of hokkien mee, hokkien mee hoon and fried chicken. The hokkien mee was good! It comes with prawn, pork slices, pork larks and cabbage. I love the sambal as it is not too spicy. The hokkien mee hoon tasted just as good as the hokkien mee but the mee hoon was abit hard for me. Besides hokkien mee, they have loh mee, fried rice, wat tan hor, cantonese fried, yee mee, vegetables and dumpling soup.

The fried chicken was really crunchy and the chicken was sweet and juicy. The chicken was well marinated with "lam yue" (fermented red beancurd which normally used in chinese cooking) before deep frying. Simply delicious.
