Bay View Beach Resort - Penang

Bay View Beach Resort is just located beside Hard Rock Hotel, Penang. We were here for a short 4 days 3 nights family holidays. We stayed in a superior hillview and our room comes with two queen size beds, 4 pillows, in room safe, air conditioning with individual control, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, LCD TV, mini fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water, bedroom slippers, study table, free internet access and individual balcony overlooking the tropical hills behind the resort.

Bathroom comes with a bathtub and hot/cold shower. However water pressure was so-so. Occasionally I experienced inconsistency in the hot water flow. The room is spacious with old design, clean and I love the huge bed. There's limited TV channels available ( TV1, TV2, TV3, Vision Four A, B, C & D, Nickelodeon, NTV7, 8TV, TV9, BBC, ART Arabic, Zee Indian, Arab variety and easy listening music )

Hotel facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, teen club, kids club and gymnasium. Pool table, arcade games, board games, playstation 2 & 3, tennis, table tennis, squash and carom are available too. Overall stay was just so-so. Hotel staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. We found out our in room safe wasn't working at night when we were about to go out for supper. When we made a call to the maintenance section, we were told to wait till the next day to get a new in room safe. We insisted to have it on the same day but they need at least half an hour to fix it. Quite an inconvenience to us since we need to rushed out to meet a friend. So, ended up we didn't use the in room safe and requested them to fix it the next day.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. You can order additional breakfast set at the price of RM 18 for Malay, Chinese or Western breakfast and RM 9 for kids breakfast. 1. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Room type: a) Standard quad room b) Standard double room without balcony c) Standard double room with balcony d) Dormitory - 10 person e) Camping We stayed in a standard double room without balcony. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
