Puchong Yong Tau Fu

Yong Tau fu is a chinese cuisine originated from from the Hakka clans. Yong tau fu means tofu stuffed with meat paste of fish. Three things that makes a yong tau fu special are the fish paste, sauce and the soup. This Puchong Yong Tau Fu has it all...

Puchong Yong Tau Fu is located opposite SRJK (C) Han Ming at Puchong. The place will be very crowded during lunch and dinner time especially weekends. Next to the cooking area, there is a place for you to select your yong tau fu. There's variety of yong tau fu for you to choose from such as brinjal, ladies finger, bitter gourd, red chili, fu chok, tau pok, tofu, fish paste, dumplings and many more. After you have selected your yong tau fu, hand over to the staff and inform them your table number. Each table will have a table number. The staff will bring it to your table when the food is ready.

These are my favourite - ladies finger stuffed with fish paste, fish paste, fried fu chok and fried tau pok stuffed with fish paste. The ladies finger stuffed with fish paste and fish paste comes with the soup together with some small leafy vegetables (Not sure the name of this vegetable). The soup was very flavourful and tasty.

The fu chok and tau pok stuffed with fish paste were deep fried - very crispy and delicious. I like to combine the sweet sauce together with the chili sauce and dip my favourite yong tau fu into it. Simply delicious! The chili sauce wasn't too spicy and just right for me. Normally we will have our yong tau fu with rice and my favourite herbal drink (boiled sugar cane)
