Good Fortune Roast Duck House - Perth, Western Australia

We had Chinese food for dinner on our first day in Perth. Before heading to Good Fortune Roast Duck House for dinner, we stopped by The Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. This restaurant is only 10 minutes drive from Elizabeth Quay, located at Northbridge. Their speciality is roast duck. We ordered one whole roast duck and other dishes such as pan fried tooth fish, sweet and sour pork, sizzling seafood with Japanese tofu and stir fried water spinach with chilies and shrimp paste or also known as "kangkung belacan" in Malay.

Roast duck was nice. Duck was tender and succulent without any gamey taste. However, skin wasn't crispy enough. Other dishes tasted ok but I don't really enjoyed the sweet and sour pork because there's lack of balance between sweet vs sour taste of the sauce. These five dishes were more than enough for the 7 of us (4 adults and 3 kids). Thanks Leo for the dinner treat!

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Rice is soft. Fried chicken is crispy, flavourful and tender. It comes together with a brown gravy which taste like KFC mashed potatoes gravy. Overall it's good. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
