Bulgogi Brothers, Paradigm Mall - Petaling Jaya

I'm not a big fan of Korean food but I love beef! Sorry moo moo... but you are just too good to resist. So, we decided to try Bulgogi Brothers at Paradigm Mall. The restaurant was quite empty when we walked in. Nice environment with warm lighting and K-Pop music video being played on the flat-screen TV attached to the wall. Staff are friendly and attentive.

We went through the menu and ordered Bulgogi Brothers Special, which is a combination of Unyang and Gwangyang-style Bulgogi. Unyang-style Bulgogi comes with seasoned beef, hand-pressed into heart shapes. (200g - RM 46.90 for 6 pcs). Whereas Gwangyang-style Bulgogi comes with thinly sliced seasoned beef, served with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, leeks and onions. (200g - RM 46.90).
Once we have placed our order, the friendly staff served us banchan. It's refillable and it's free! Sadly, I did not enjoy any of the banchan. The only thing that I enjoyed most was the corns, sweet potatoes and edamame.

"Banchan is a term used in Korea for variety of small side dishes such as kimchi, namul, bokkeum, jorim, jjim, jeon, and others. Kimchi is a traditional fermented Korean side dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings. Whereas Namul is a general term for a Korean seasoned vegetable dish."

Each table comes with a customized induction cooker. Bulgogi staff will place the hot plate on the induction cooker and start cooking in front of you. First step, they will fry the garlic followed by carrots, mushrooms, onions and finally heart shaped beef. The heart shaped beef was cooked perfectly. Most importantly there's no blood! The beef was so tender and it was really good. I love the onions as well. It was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. After completed the cooking process, the staff will then reduce the heat and let us enjoy our meal.

They came back to cook the sliced beef after we have finished our heart shaped beef. Sliced beef was beautifully cooked. Wrapped it with lettuce and add in some seasoning.... Hmmmn... delicious... If you are aware, there's 3 pieces of bread on the Bulgogi Brothers Special plate. After we have completed our meal, I was curious why they didn't serve us the bread. Only then we realized that the bread is used to clean the hot plate after cooking!

Besides that, both the drinks that we ordered were nice. Not too sweet and very refreshing. End of the meal I ordered the melon flavoured ice cream. It's just like eating chilled, soft, creamy melon. If you are a melon lover, you will love this ice cream.
