Resorts World Kijal - Kemaman, Terengganu

Resort World Kijal (Formally known as Awana Kijal Golf, Beach & Spa Resort), is located in Kemaman, Terengganu. We stayed in a deluxe room, comes with two double beds. Our room is facing the pool, golf and beach. The view from our room was really nice.

The room comes with mini fridge, hair dryer, 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water, electronic safe, ceiling fan and fully air-conditioned room. No free wifi but you can have 24 hrs of internet access by paying RM25. The staff that checked us in was very unfriendly. In fact we were directed to the other end of our hotel room. Carrying our heavy luggage without any assistance, we have to walk and search for our rooms which took us almost 5 minutes from one end to the other end of the hotel rooms.

Glad that finally we found our room! The door lock is the conventional type whereby you need to use a key instead of an access card. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. It came with individual shower room, toilet and a bath tub. However the water pressure was not strong enough. You might need to wait a few minutes before flushing the second time. Besides that, the room has a slow draining sink.

The recreational facilities include an outdoor jacuzzi, kids and adult pool, fitness centre, table tennis, tennis court and golf. Remember to bring your "towel card" if you plan to swim because they will not lend you the beach towel unless you show them the "towel card". The outdoor jacuzzi was great. You can spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool or jacuzzi.

Overall the stay was an unpleasant one. This was due to the workers started repairing the roof around 10am and lasted till 5pm for 2 days! The repairing work was very disturbing! Intially we thought the repairing work was only carried out for few hours. However, after we came back from our lunch, it was still on going. When we approaced the staff later in the afternoon, they were unaware of it and even told us that we should have informed them earlier! To our disappointment they were unable to relocate us to other room as all the rooms were fully occupied! Basically we have no choice but to bare with the disturbing noise. We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing hotel stay which sadly turned out to be an unpleasant one...
