Geo Resort & Hotel - Genting Highland, Pahang

Geo Resort & Hotel is just a 6-minute (3km) drive to Gohtong Jaya, and you can reach Genting Highlands in roughly 20 minutes (12km) by car. We arrived around 1.50pm, and they allowed us to check in early. Perfect for dropping off our stuff before heading to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets for some shopping. The hotel offers free parking on B1, but before you head out, you'll need to verify your credit, debit, or Touch 'n Go card at the reception. The entrance ramp into the car park is a bit narrow, so take it slowly. From the car park, the lift will take you up to the reception on the ground floor. To access your room floor, you'll need to take a separate lift and scan your room key card at the lift reader.

When we first entered, the room wasn't very spacious and had a slight musty smell. However, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The room featured a twin bed, a wall-mounted flat-screen smart LCD TV with limited channels, an iron & ironing board, bathrobes, a torch light, an in-room safe, and disposable slippers. It also had coffee or tea-making facilities, two complimentary bottles of drinking water, a mini fridge, a wall-mounted hair dryer, complimentary Wi-Fi (fast speed), self-controlled air conditioning, a private balcony, and complete toiletries. The bathroom was spacious and featured a separate shower cubicle with excellent water pressure, much better than the rain shower. The water was also sufficiently hot. The only downside was that they provided just one small bottle of shower gel.

The hotel facilities include a swimming pool and gym at level 1. However, our stay was not very pleasant, as the loud noise of cars racing outside in the wee hours made it difficult to get a good rest. Additionally, there's an indicator at the front door showing when a guest has checked into the room, which could raise privacy concerns since it reveals whether someone is inside.

We had planned to check out of the hotel at 12pm and board a train to Dongguan at 1pm to meet with one of Ben's potential supplier. Guangzhou - Day 2 (Canton Fair Complex - Beijing Road)

I woke up early in the morning with a swollen leg, but luckily it is still not that painful when I walk. I couldn't go back to sleep since there's a mosquito that keeps buzzing in my ear. It seems that the pesky insect didn't bother my partner as much as it did me. Anyway, we left our hotel around 10am to look for food. Whenever we travel, I will prepare a list of food itineraries. However, I do not have a complete list this time since I am unable to read Chinese characters. There is very limited information available online in English. The Palm Suite @ Tanjung Tokong - Penang

The Palm Suite is located in Tanjung Tokong Penang, just within walking distance of McDonald's and Starbucks. There are ten of us, and his sister-in-law rented five suites. The room looks modern, and the bathroom comes with a hot tub. However, the hot tub is covered with grime. It is kind of gross because the tub is greasy too. There is a small stool for you to step up before going into the tub. I find it quite dangerous, as the stool can easily flip over, and there is no handle to hold while climbing into the hot tub.  The water pressure is good, and the water is hot enough. The bathroom features a sliding door with no lock. However, opening the bathroom sliding door will close the open wardrobe. If you do not close the in-room safe box door or your luggage protrudes from the closet, the sliding door will not open.
